This crossing is on Victoria's list of the 50 most dangerous crossings, of which, they will all be removed and replaced with grade seperated crossings.
This crossing will be replaced with a project called "Skyrail", which is an elevated railway that's garnered a lot of opposition from the local residents, who believed they were being mislead by the state's government as they had thought it'd be replaced by having the tracks lowered into the ground.
