An overview of the crossing. Both signals have 8" WRRS incandscent lights on WRRS masts.

The signal shown in picture 2 has 7" gate lights, while the other across the street is 4".


The bell shown in picture 3 is a RACO or Griswold bell.

 

Unfortunately, the RACO/Griswold bell is very near death. When it rings, it just "ticks", then quits after about 25 or so "ticks". The WCH bell rings perfectly.

 

These are very rare signals to see in service on a very busy BNSF/Amtrak line!

Note: This audio clip is a very long double train crossing. You can clearly hear the WCH bell, but you can also hear the ticking of the RACO/Griswold bell on the other side of the tracks, then it quits suddenly.
