This crossing is located on the BNSF New Westminster Subdivision.

This is a very weird pedestrian crossing. One of my favorites. I can see myself on a boat near the pier and watch the signals activate.

That white structure you see in the far distance in picture 5 is the Peace Arch which is where the USA/Canada border is. The big white rock that can also be seen in the picture is what gives White Rock its name.

I suppose that an electronic bell would have to work here. The effects of salt water from what I've seen on other railroad websites is not very good for a mechanical bell. They would die much quicker from the effects of the salt.

The Amtrak train passing the many crossbuck crossings from the beach to the parking areas on the east end of White Rock Beach. There's a total of 4 crossbuck crossings on the east end of the beach. Theres also one crossbuck crossing at the far west end of the beach where theres a boat launch.

Both signals are 12"x20" incandescents.

Note: Flash videos based on this crossing is on Andrew's website.

Geography: McBride Ave. is the next signalized crossing to the east of here. This is the last signalized crossing before the tracks cross the border into the US. This is also the only signalized crossing in the city of White Rock BC.

UPDATE: This fact is now wrong, since all of the crossbuck crossings in the area were upgraded to have signals.

A return visit in June 2025 by 5601_mwg shows the crossing has been replaced!
