Photos from March 2008.  These signals are literally all Safetran, including bells, lights, gate mechansisms, bases, and gate lgihts.

On June 22, 2015, an EF-3 tornado struck Coal City, and its path came very close to this crossing.  Parts of the crossing, including the gates, were damaged.  One light on the western signal was replaced with a 1st Gen WCH LED, the eastern crossbuck was replaced, and one of the blue DOT signs which were added in 2014 went missing.  Since this line is basically defunct, UP hasn't bothered putting new gates on the signals or installing a new DOT sign on the eastern signal.  The old gates are still sitting to the side damaged beyond repair.  You'll notice the houses under repair and snapped trees in the background of many of the images below.

In 2017, a new logistics center in Coal City started being built and will be served by this line.  As such, UP is upgrading this dormant track with new ties and other various track improvements, and also they've upgraded all of the crossings between Braceville and the new facility, including this one.  New signals were installed as well as a new bungalow.

Despite new signals being here, this crossing is still hard to get on video, as the local normally does not run up to this crossing.  However, on November 10, 2019, a ballast train came up the line, and pulled up far enough to activate this crossing.
