BNSF 8600 West. This is not the same train seen in Picture

train just as we arrived at the crossing. The video can be seen here.

In late 2008, new wayside signals were
put right next to the crossing to replace searchlight signals to the
west. Not long later, a new crossing bungalow was also installed
and then activated in early 2009.
Also in early 2009, the WCH bell started to die, and by March, it was
completely dead. I came here on March 15 to be greatly
disappointed. I didn't get any pictures, but did get 2 videos, here and here.
By the end of March, the new wayside signals were activated.
In early April, the old relay bungalow was removed.
In late May 2009, the telegraph poles along the tracks were removed.
In early 2011, the main lights were upgraded to Dialight LEDs, the dead
WCH bell was replaced by a GS Type 2, and the old 1980s Safetran gate mechanisms
were replaced with new Safetran gate mechanisms.

Between 2011 and 2013, the gate
striping was replaced on both signals, except for the rear of the
southern gate. By the end of 2014, it also got the new striping.

The northern track's grade is wood and the southern is concrete. Before, the crossing was VERY rough.
In
February 2016, we see that blue DOT signs were added, both crossbucks
replaced, and the track sign on the southern signal replaced.
In regards to the grade, as I said, it
was very rough in the past. So rough in fact, that a fatal
accident occured because of it. A young driver went over the
crossing very fast, lost control, crashed and died. I'm surprised
they haven't repaired the northern track yet, as it is still rough, but
not as bad as before.
