This crossing is located on a connector between the Metra Milwaukee North District and the UP Milwaukee Sub.  It's used by CP freights for trackage rights on the UP to access into Bensenville Yard.

This crossing acts as a double crossing with Techny Rd. #1 just east of this one.  When a train goes over that crossing, only that crossing's bell rings, but if a train goes over this crossing, then every bell rings.
