This crossing is located on the BNSF Aurora Sub.  This is the last crossing on the BNSF and UP mainlines in Rochelle that isn't a quiet zone.

In June 2024, we see the gates were replaced, the GS Type 2 had long been replaced with a GS Type 3, and the wishbone mount on the eastern signal was replaced with a GSI gate saver.
