By 2011, the GS E Bell was replaced with a WCH E Bell.  At some point also, the WCH Type 1.5 was replaced with a Type 2.
In 2012, the gate holders were replaced with new ones, and the grade was resurfaced during the 110 mph track upgrade.
At some other point between 2010 and 2015, the western gate and part of the eastern gate was replaced.

On June 5, 2015, Amtrak 22, the NB Texas Eagle, with the Phase II heritage unit #66, struck a tractor trailer full of bacon and made national news.  In the process, the truck destroyed the eastern signal and the gate on the western signal, and since this line will most likely be double tracked soon, they chose not to install a brand new signal, and put together a signal from parts.  The gate mechanism is new, the gate is new, and the bell might be new, but I'm not sure, but the lights and crossbuck are older.  In fact, I found out the lights were the old lights on the eastern signal from Ordnance Crossing in Elwood after the old signals there had been recently replaced.

The "new" eastern signal.

By fall 2017, work was underway to make this crossing quad gated.  New exit signals were erected, but without lights or gates.  It appeared they were going to add these signals on to the existing setup, which confused me as I figured this crossing would be double tracked.  Also at some point between 2015 and 2017, one of the western signal's WCH LEDs was replaced by an Electro-Tech's LED.

A new relay bungalow was installed behind the old one.

By early February, I noticed it was taking quite a while for UP to install gates on the new exit signals.  Lights were on them, but no gates yet.  I drove by on February 5th and noticed that they were just installing the exit signals here, but also new main signals, and that they were going to be cantilevers!  What's even weirder is that even with the new signals being installed, at some point, the old western signal received new LEDs!  They were 12"x24" GE Dotted LEDs in Safetran frames.  I have no idea why they were installed with the signal coming out soon, but it's one of those things that I'll probably never solve.

On February 6th I made another comeback hoping to get closeups of the new LEDs on the old western signal before it was too late, and got a big shock, as I managed to catch the transition between the old and new signals!  I didn't get a whole lot of photos, and I didn't get up close, as I didn't want to appear nosey around the UP workers, but I did get a video down below of them removing the old signal.  Weirdest thing was that they actually reused the same WCH bell off the old signal for the new one.  Very rare to see that.  They also reused the same gate.

Photos of the transition.  One niceUP worker did come down and talk to me, and he was telling me about how the original plan was just to install the exit signals, but midway through, their minds changed and the new cantilevers were installed as well.  He said the exit gates weren't installed yet because they had to rework them or something.  I forgot to ask about the future double track and why this crossing wasn't set up for it.

By February 8th, work was halted, so I made a return to get closeup photos.

Photos of several parts sitting around, including what remains of the old western signal including the replacement lights which couldn't have been used for any more than 2 months.  Note the old base still in place, as well as the lights sitting behind the pair of relay bungalows.

Sometime between February 21st and March 13th, the eastern signal was replaced with a new cantilever, and the western cantilever was completed.  Oddly enough, the replacement GE Dotted LEDs that the old western signal had were not reused as all of the lights on the new cantilevers have WCH frames and not Safetran ones.  I have no idea where the other GE LEDs ended up at.
