This crossing is located on the NS KC District with BNSF having trackage rights. Amtrak does occassionally use this crossing if the Marceline Sub is occupied with another train lined up.

Older low quality Google Maps Streetview imagery from August of 2008 shows both signals originally featuring Safetran Mechanical Bells. By the late mid to late 2010s, the northern signal's mechanical bell was replaced with a GS Type 3, while the southern signal's mechanical bell remained. Fortunately Independence Railfanning was able to record the old bell in action before it was sadly replaced in the early 2020s with a GS Type 3.

Overview of a pair of 90s gated signals (and a gateless signal protecting a spur not seen) facing north . Pine St #1 can also be seen in the distance.
Overview facing south. This crossing sorta functions like a double crossing with the spur signal in the distnace.

Front view of the northern signal. A look at the front lights on the northern signal. The northern signal has a 2 tracks sign on it as it only protects the mainline.
The northern signal features 2 pairs of 12x20 lights in which are incandescent.
6 7 8
The northern signal now features the blue ENS sign which was added to the signal sometime in the mid 2010s. Oddly enough the spur signal didn't get one despite that crossing sharing the same DOT number.
The signal base on the northern signal is from Safetran. The gate mechanism on the northern signal is also from Safetran.

The light bracket on the northern signal comes once again from Safetran. The lights on the northern signal are all from Safetran as well. Close up at one of the Safetran lights on the northern signal. The bell on the northern signal is a GS Type 3 Electronic Bell which only rings from startup, until the gates lower. This replaced the original Safetran Mechanical Bell sometime in the mid to late 2010s.

The gate on the northern signal features the newer vertical striping while the gate lights are from RECO.

Front view of the southern signal. A look at the front lights on the southern signal. The southern signal has a 3 tracks sign as this signal not only protects the mainline, but also the spur line.
The southern signal features 2 pairs of 12x20 lights in which are incandescent like the lights on the northern signal.
20 21 22
The southern signal also received a blue ENS sign sometime in the mid 2010s as well. This one's a bit beaten up for some reason.
The signal base on the southern signal is from Safetran. The gate mechanism on the southern signal is also from Safetran.

The light bracket on the southern signal is from Safetran as well. The lights on the southern signal are all from Safetran. Sorry if the photo came out a bit blurry.
Close up at one of the Safetran lights on the southern signal. The bell on the southern signal is also a GS Type 3 Electronic Bell which only rings from startup, until the gates lower as well. This replaced the original Safetran Mechanical Bell sometime after 2021.

The gate on the southern signal features the older vertical striping, however the gate lights are from NEG.

Overview facing north at the spur crossing which has 1 gateless signal protecting it. The spur crossing serves the grain elevator located the west of this crossing just before Oak St. #2.

34 35 36
The southern spur signal features the 3 tracks sign as opposed to the 2 tracks sign as this signal not only protects the spur, but also the mainline.
The light bracket on the southern spur signal is from Safrtran.
Like the signals on the mainline, we the spur signal once again features 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 lights in which are all incandescent.
37 38 39 40
The signal base for the spur signal is from Safetran like the lights, and light bracket.
While the spur signal doesn't have an ENS sign, it does however have the older DOT label on the mast.
A look at the rear lights on the spur signal. The rear lights do not flash when a train is on the mainline. They do flash however whenever the local does use the spur line.
