trackage rights. Amtrak does occassionally use this crossing if the
Marceline Sub is occupied with another train lined up.

Maps Streetview imagery from August of 2008 shows both signals
originally featuring Safetran Mechanical Bells. By the late mid to late
2010s, the northern signal's mechanical bell was replaced with a GS
Type 3, while the southern signal's mechanical bell remained.
Fortunately Independence Railfanning was able to record the old bell in
action before it was sadly replaced in the early 2020s with a GS Type 3.

The
northern signal now features the blue ENS sign which was added to the
signal sometime in the mid 2010s. Oddly enough the spur signal didn't
get one despite that crossing sharing the same DOT number.

While the
spur signal doesn't have an ENS sign, it does however have the older
DOT label on the mast.

the rear lights on the spur signal. The rear lights do not flash when a
train is on the mainline. They do flash however whenever the local does
use the spur line.
