This crossing is located on the former Lake Erie & Western mainline
that ran from Fostoria to Sandusky, but is now a spur that connects to the
Toledo District and dead ends at opposite ends of Fremont.

In November 2016, we see the DOT signs were turned to face forward.
|
In early 2017, the 8" lights were
replaced by 12"x20" GE Uniform Look LEDs. For some reason, they
didn't add rear lights in the process, so both signals still only have
front facing lights.

JANUARY 2026 UPDATE: Sir Fluent here. 7 years
after the lights were upgraded to LED, both signals were sadly replaced
with newer gated signals, along with State Street #2 and Rawson Avenue's
signals.
