Both featured crossings no longer have "normal train traffic" due to the TLE&W's 'Blue Bird Train' being on hiatus for over a decade along with portions of the line being dismantled. However the museum does operate a seasonal 'Motorcar Train Ride' from Providence to their property at the end of the line. This operation consists of speeders and other modified maintenance railcars. Because of this operation, none of the crossings within Grand Rapids have exempt signs. All of the crossings on the motorcar train's route are flagged; River Road crossing does not activate for this operation.
