By October 2020, work had started on replacing the old signals. However, they did this in a very weird way. They removed the pedestrian gates and the gate masts for the main signals, plus they removed the old relay case entirely, thus rendering the crossing completely inoperable. I'm assuming trains were flagging the crossing in the meantime, but this was quite the confusing site to see. At this time, I also got some better closeups of the rare 8" LEDs. By December, the new signals were installed and activated.

In October 2021, we see work was progressing on new sidewalks around the crossing. The southern sidewalk was rerouted away from crossing, hence why no pedestrian gates were installed on that side of the street. New traffic lights were also installed here, including on the new cantilever.
