Great photo,please post some more photos of the Griswold Signals if you can find them.They are my favorite grade crossing signal.They had plenty of them in Perry,Iowa on the Milwaukee Road.

There were alot of Griswold Crossing signals with gates in Iliinois that have been removed. I remember them on the Milwaukee Road and the C&NW in the 70's and the 80's.Great site.

Mike,I would love to see the Griswold Crossing Signals with wishbone gate arms in the future mounted on the pedestal like the ones Keevin made from Signalogic,and the ones like NJ International makes.Would like to see working lights on the gate arms if possible.

We had a set of Griswold signals here in Oskaloosa,Iowa until about a year and a half ago on South 11th street on the former C&NW branch line that crossed highway 23.The Griswold signals were replaced with standard crossing signals no gates.the Griswold signals didn't have an operating stop sign on ...

I remember the Griswold gates that were mounted on the pedestal the were referred to as EM gate pedestal mount gates with wishbone gate arms.They were common on the railroads till the early 80's and are becoming rare today.

I remember the signals on the Iowa Division in Madrid on Highway 210.they were originally Griswold Signals with wishbone gate arms up until the Milwaukee left in March 1980.
