I saw this chase as it happened in San Bernardino/Rialto. Watch the very beginning as the guy shoots right through an active and operating crossing. The gate flies right off the mechanism.

Re: To my friend
I've been busy with many things, but I just logged on to see this and it is a true shock. I first found this page about three years ago and I was elated to see so many people loved signaling like I did, especially Mike. SO incredibly sad. My condolences.

Oh. My. God. That wasp nest gave me a serious freight. I get the willies every time I see that or a bee hive. WOW.

Additions to E-bells
I was taking the Pasadena Gold Line today and noticed some strange flanges on the E-Bells that pepper some of the crossings along the route. These flanges, I am assuming, block and/or redirect the sound of the ringing bells. I saw them on some of the Safetran bells and I just found the flanges on th...

Re: Strobe Railraod Crossing Lights
I think there was a photo in the old forum that was from railpictures.net. The picture showed a crossing signal in some foggy mountainside with the signal flashing, but instead of a bell there was a white strobe. The strobe wasn't flashing in the pic, but cool nevertheless.

National Train Day 2011
Hey everyone. I have a question, but I'm not sure if anyone will be able to answer. I want to know if the Santa Fe 3571 will chug along the Metrolink after its appearance at Los Angeles Union Station? I tried researching, but have found nothing on a possible trip. Where can I look elsewhere to see s...

Oldest???
I've always wondered what is the oldest operating non-wigwag active crossing in the U.S.?

Stumbled across this old pic. Has a bit of extra signage on it.

This has got to be like Christmas for railfans. Look at all those lights!
