Re: Unusual sight at a railroad crossing in San Pedro CA.

Just went back to San Pedro earlier tonight. the Red Car is still out of service and now it looks like several crossings were taken out going toward where Ports O'Call was at. Also I did see a rare signal activation there too. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=N+Pacific+Ave...

Re: Unusual sight at a railroad crossing in San Pedro CA.

Hey all, sorry for the necropost but I just got back from San Pedro, the Red Car line is still out of service but I think I know why, Ports o call is being reconstructed and all that area is sealed off. Tracks leading up to the construction area are severed. Also chance to see an active crossing, o...

An update on a crossing in Lakewood CA.

Hey all, just two weeks ago I caught some activity at the Del Amo crossing in Lakewood, a first time in a long time for me to see that crossing active. Surprised me to see it active too and I had wrote it off as abandoned since the track ends at the lumberyard on Carson Street past Cherry Ave. Some ...

Posting a signal update in Carson CA.

Hey all, been a while since I reported something here. Anyhow the railroad crossing at Wilmington Ave by the 405 Freeway just past 223rd Street was given a big update. Before the crossing was simply four signals, now it's been upgraded to a gated crossing featuring two cantilevers.
