Motorized bells I have seen ontop of crossing signals in South Carolina...saw ONLY ONE here in Florida but it's not a E dinger (electronic "bells" don't ring, they ding). Re: WC Hayes M Bells @ Drawbridges
Those motorized bells are made by the B&B Engineering Corporation in Chicago. They still make them I presume, the ones in Miami on Brickell Avenue (US1) still hold their ground today!
But yea, WC Hayes have been showing up at these newly renovated and rebuilt drawbridges.

WC Hayes M Bells @ Drawbridges
It has been a while since I've posted to The Forum but one thing I started noticing with the rehabilitation of drawbridges here in South Florida, I started to notice that the mechanical bells that they're using are made from WC HAYES with a much higher pitched gong. I have videos two drawbridges wit...

Re: Strange train signal
But in all honesty, those bell keep ringing and sounding good. WC Hayes gates I heard are the most durable out there as Safetran is a runner up. They are basically the only 2 long running companies. Modern Industries, GRS, WABCO, US&S, WRRS have all died.

One Year Ago
One year ago, today, we all have lost a very special to all of us who ran this website. Mike Hickok. He loved my crossing pictures and how I obeyed everything he told me today. Today marks a year of him passing away. But that doesn't prevent us doing what we love doing. Long lives Mikes Railroad Cro...

Re: Safetran Hybrid and Safetran type 1 electronic bells...
Safetran Type 1 Electronic bells are my favorite type of electronic bells. Type 3 has somewhat of a trebled ping to it but with the Type 1, its very clear and realistic to a mechanical bell gets me every time why WC Hayes e bells sound like fire siren. Safetran Type 2 The fact that It sound CLOSER t...
