The streetview links for Nutwood and Batavia are in this thread, circa 2012. Fairview predates that.

Re: Locations Of Currently Existing US&S TEARDROPS

Got some unfortunate news out of Orange County--all four US&S Teardrops which were in regular service have been replaced between June of 2014 and now. Both Nutwood and Fairview were overhauled and now use full Invensys / NEG systems, while Batavia got a 'targeted' bell replacement with the remainder...

Not sure if these have been covered yet, but one on the Mococo Line was recently posted over on Altamont Press:
D Street in Antioch, CA, with a Model 75 Mech.

Re: Bachman CSX B32 "Surging" problem

If that's Bachmann EZ-trak--especially the black roadbed/steel rail variant, that might be the problem. Switching over to nickel-silver rail would be a long-term solution, but a reasonable stopgap would be to wipe down the railheads using a cloth soaked in rubbing alcohol, and then following that up...

Got this from the Western-Cullen Hayes website. Standard-issue Model 10. WCHpg1-9-Model10Signal.jpg Also, this is from Niles Canyon's signaling department--a Griswold A-frame setup with a pedestrian gate. http://www.ncrysignal.com/content/pictures/kare/kare26.jpg Also, there's a lot of schematics ov...

Re: You don't see this every day

There's a ped crossing on Sprinter out in Escondido that originally had dual Type 1 Electronic Bells. Over the years both were vandalized, the first getting replaced by a Safetran mechanical and the second by a WC-Hayes mechanical bell.

Downgrades? Upgrades? All in the eye of the beholder!

It's not necessarily accurate, but my version of a RACO cantilever in Train Sim Modeler has a mast diameter of 9". Could be closer to 8" but I'm not sure.
