Re: Ferromex Locomotives

Well, after I said they usually only appeared on the Union Pacific, I've caught three leading on the Canadian Pacific so far in 2019! https://live.staticflickr.com/4813/39727201703_9c7cc89483_b.jpg "Ferro ex" 4054 and a BNSF unit haul CP 288 approaching Weyh Road by Andy , on Flickr https:...

Re: Wigwags, classic power and COWs!...

Yeah, like I said there's quite a few videos out there now of the MSCo wigwag that was on the ex-Soo Line side of that crossing. Some even on that same channel, like this (footage starts at 5:25): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g49HxWYw4h0 So much cool stuff was lost when WC acquired the Fox River ...

Wigwags, classic power and COWs!...

This channel has been posting a gold mine of stuff from the Wisconsin Central in the '90s. This video has a rare close-up shot of the ex-C&NW WRRS wigwag at Van Dyne. Most railfans seemed to always shoot the MSCo cantilever wigwag on the parallel ex-Soo Line track, which made sense because it was on...

Re: Oldest Train Videos Published to YouTube

Re: Submissions

A while back I uploaded some pictures to my Google Drive and e-mail access to some of the admins, but they've not made it on the site yet. These crossings in the city of Wauwatosa, WI (abuts Milwaukee to the west): https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B8saek6dtWxgcG85VVRla3BndFk I also have a few...

Re: Crossings protected by traffic signals.

University Avenue/Campus Drive in Madison, WI (scene at 1:16). The stand-alone crossing signals (cantilevers and masts) weren't always there. When I was a kid, just the flashing traffic lights (incandescent at the time) and mechanical bells on poles, along with crossbucks on the traffic light masts ...

Incandescent lights...

...in general are becoming rather hard to find in Wisconsin, especially over the last half-decade as crossing upgrades have really accelerated even on the Class II/III railroads such as the Wisconsin and Southern (WSOR, owned by Watco since 2012 when the individual who had been president and CEO sin...
