Strange that they placed the Cross Buck and Tracks sign on the cantilever mast but they put the lights on the gate mast. Here's my theory: There are two switches ahead, which would be the reason for 3 light on at once. A train on those probably isn't allowed to diverge on the second switch (for whatever reason) and it was easier and cheaper to add a second light to the bottom lighthead than a whole other lighthead.
