I say both, because the new ones have cool equipment, but standing under a WCH ebell waiting for an Amtrak can get pretty boring. Older ones are cool because of the rarity of the equipment but mechanical bells usually go bad, so I'm tied.

Was this a busier road in the past? I really don't see a set of cantilever signals being necessary. Maybe they could install just a couple recycled mast signals and if visibility is a concern because of the hill on the one side, get a taller mast pole for that side and mount an additional set of li...

They must have to dumbest, trashiest signal mainainers ever. If the problem was in the wiring, its now that hard to tape new wires to the old ones and pull them through. But really, it isn‘t that hard to freakin‘ replace the WIRES in 10 feet of metal! Why can‘t the maintainers fix the cantilevers? It just looks wrong, cheap, and ugly.
