Re: Strange music video.
Two year bump, gonna regret this. Not really a music video, but after I randomly heard this song from Boards of Canada whilst watching a car review from an episode of Top Gear from 2004, It somewhat stuck with me. The song has a somewhat trippy beat to it and it sounds like the type of song you'd he...

Re: Traffic Lights
I was cycling around my local area earlier today and noticed the traffic lights here seemed to be trying to shut off earlier, never seen something like this before, wonder what was causing it? Traffic lights here I will assume are around 30 years old, since they look like they were installed in the ...

Re: This price seems a little too high...
How's $200 for a harmon light? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-Railroad-Crossing-Signal-Light-20-Wide-Norfolk-Southern-Man-Cave/373184896177?hash=item56e38d9cb1:g:wqEAAOSwFVBfTrn3 Seems like a decent price to me, the only things you may consider buying the light is giving it a clean and maybe a li...

Re: Taking pictures/videos at railroad crossings
Shouldn't be any issues as long as you avoid trespassing on railroad or other private property and exercise a little common sense (don't stand in traffic, don't film from inside the lowered gates while a train is coming, etc). To me, the area that you are in (run-down, underfunded, hustle and bustl...

Re: Crossing Gate Contact
At around 2:10 in this video, you can see a decommissioned ambulance being chased by police crash through level crossing barriers whilst the driver flees which was broadcasted on a television series called Police Interceptors in 2019. Narrowly avoided being obliterated by a passing passenger train. ...

Not sure if this one counts, but I found one for a never completed footpath/cycleway in Germany.

Re: Signals getting damaged/destroyed
Haven't really been paying much attention to this thread as I've been gone a few months, but here is one from Pendleton, Indiana (and for once it isn't the trailer, but the truck itself) If you pay close attention to the underside of the locomotive after impact, you can see the fuel ignite. http://w...
