...and you thought Crossing Railroad was bad!
Yet another interesting crossing from Facebook. Taken by Wayne Helms, this is on the FSR in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Please, tell me... how tired was the maintainer?
Cheers,
Joshua

Re: does anybody know what this is
It's a grade crossing bell. So it could have been on any grade crossing in the Jacksonville, FL area. No cracks is always good. Those bells weren't as common (as I can make out) as the other bells available. So, it's quite valuable, but there's no way of knowing what crossing it came from unless you...

Re: does anybody know what this is
It's an original WRRS bell. They're very old design, and I haven't seen any except for a few decommissioned ones used on the Chicago drawbridges... one of which was in pieces. I'd say they're quite rare, but I can't put a price on for you. I can assure you it's definitely worth something. I would re...

Re: Fight that E-bell! Let it all out!
Only gate mechanism that I would even dare to put my latter on top of would be a GRS Type D.
My issue would be as to how you got up onto the gate mech. I know some of the Safetrans can be found low, but some railroads mount them to where the logo is as high as your face.
Cheers,
Joshua

Re: Another siren crossing
I believe MOW would be the only equipment to have electronic sirens on them in addition to traditional horns and bells.
Cool looking crossing, hope they keep those lights and gates down there with them!

Joshua

Re: Crossing gate referred to as a weapon
Behold the mighty beast. Of which few acknowledge, it has finally become angered. To once a train approached, the beast becomes awakened. It then draws it's weapon and aims to kill. The moment the beast has target the stupid driver, the weapon is deployed... scrapping your hood of your car... probab...
