If I were the railfanner there, I would have turned his tag number into the UP Police Department, in addition to that area's law enforcement.freebrickproductions wrote:Found this in my subscriptions today:

Re: Crossing Gate Contact
From what I understand, he wasn't able to get the tag number. Also, the crossing is owned by the CCTC, despite the fact that the line this crossing's on is disconnected from the rest of the CCTC.ZachL wrote:If I were the railfanner there, I would have turned his tag number into the UP Police Department, in addition to that area's law enforcement.freebrickproductions wrote:Found this in my subscriptions today:

Re: Crossing Gate Contact
Always thought it was interesting when a railroad has several lines separated from each other. Yan (Railtrack for those of you who don't know) and I were talking about how the HMCR might build another line separated from their current line. I don't know much or any details about it and I don't think he did either.freebrickproductions wrote:From what I understand, he wasn't able to get the tag number. Re: Crossing Gate Contact
Not really building, more like acquiring. I know that the HMCR was eyeing the NS Campion Paper Branch out in Courtland, AL earlier this year at least (and may still be), but the line still remained under NS ownership last I checked. The line only has one customer left along it and ends at a long-dead paper mill. Rumor has it that they might also be eyeing the CSX N&D Branch in Athens, AL, but no official word on that yet. Got the info from another local railfan.ToledoRailfan wrote:Always thought it was interesting when a railroad has several lines separated from each other. I know their charter pretty much allows them to operate anywhere within the state of Alabama due to the fact that they're technically a state agency.
They/Them for me, please.

Here's one from Elwood, Illinois. Truck driver breaks gate in half, and gets pulled over.
