That doesn't really look like an out of service crossing...

I meant to post that in Google Maps Scavenger Hunt.

It happens sometimes.
There should be a legal limit as to how humid it can be on any given day during the summer here in the South...

One of the crossings shown used to have a pair of Safetran 8 inch signals with a WCH mechanical bell and even a wishbone gate! They've sadly since been removed:

Well, the tracks from the line are starting to get torn up, it appears:

It happens occasionally, especially if you have a bunch of rail spurs right next to each other.

Also, I've kicked this over to what I believe is the better topic for it.

Crossing in Otway, Ohio a one signal that is missing three of it's lights.

This crossing further down the line in McDermott, Ohio also has a missing side light. Also, why does it even have side lights pointing that way?

You know, this signal reminds me of those railroad crossings from some countries like France and Italy. where they only have one light on both the front and back

I'm willing to bet they were originally pointed over here:

That looks to still get use.

Doesn't look like ever had a second signal there. Might've always had one signal, especially since it's a one-way road.
