I have to wonder what that crossing looked like when it was in service. Was it only the one gate there and nothing else?
By the looks of the markings left over on the other crossing signal (https://www.google.com/maps/@40.4796713 ... 312!8i6656), it looked like this crossing signal also had gates, but they were removed.

Nice observation! You're probably right on that one.

Is it just me, or does a lot of stuff posted here in the forum is of something from Kokomo, Indiana? There clearly seems to be a lot of cool stuff there.

Oh gosh, I didn't even realize that was Kokomo at first. :Tongue2:

Check out the old Monon running through Kokomo. You'll find some crossings that are interesting.

It just seems kinda weird though. I mean Kokomo really isn't that large yet some how it seems like a recurring theme here for stuff in Kokomo to be posted here that hasn't been posted here before. It's like a gold mine for interesting equipment. Maybe I'm just making a mountain out of a molehill but it is just a weird observation I've made.

Here is an interesting out of service crossing in Windham, Ohio. I came across this while following the Ohio Turnpike on Google Maps.
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.2310881 ... 1664?hl=en

Here is another crossing further down the line in Ravenna, Ohio. This one is located along a bike trail! The line is in service not to far past this crossing.
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.1712679 ... 6656?hl=en

This crossing on the line in Newton Falls, Ohio has a rusty relay cabinet near the crossing, I wonder if it use to be signalized.
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.2285355 ... 6656?hl=en

Just a little bit further down the line (still in Newton Falls) there is this one signal wonder crossing with a buckeye crossbuck! There probably use to be another signal here before the line went out of service.
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.2302197 ... 6656?hl=en

The signal also has interesting junction box on it. I thought it was a bell at first.
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.230279, ... 6656?hl=en

Further down the line in Leavittsburg, Ohio there is this classic cantilever signal along with a mast signal. Looks to be in pretty good shape. I'm pretty sure I posted this not too long ago but I guess it's worth a re-post.
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.2381237 ... 6656?hl=en

A little bit down the line in Warren, Ohio there is this crossing with a former signal and a crossbuck post.
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.2363614 ... 6656?hl=en

There is also this crossing with classic cantilever signals with all GRS Lex-c lights! Although again, I think I might've posted this one already.
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.2366777 ... 6656?hl=en
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.2365493 ... 6656?hl=en

Got some 8" gated signals here.
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.2410946 ... 6656?hl=en

Something happened to one of the signals here so it was replaced by a crossbuck on a post. It kinda looks a bit comical for some reason.
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.2430442 ... 6656?hl=en

This is kinda funny. On one side of the crossing you have a modern 12" gated signal in good condition while on the other side there is an old rusting away 8" signal!
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.2447606 ... 6656?hl=en

The line is in service past this crossing.

I followed that line on Google maps and it turns out it used to go to Holloman AFB.

While looking at the base I noticed some F4 Phantoms on the ramp!

I think this picture was taken before they were retired from drone service as QF-4's in December of 2017.
