It's the SP's Placerville Branch, which has been dead for a long time it appears. However, I want to say more recently, a railroad museum in the Sacramento area bought the line and is slowly restoring it to service. However, as it's only gonna be a museum line (that likely won't be seeing daily trains), signals ain't exactly needed.Nascar Fan007 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 11:07 pmAppears this crossing used to be protected with Wabco triangle gates. Wonder why every signal on this line got downgraded to crossbucks?Doge_Illinois wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 10:51 pmRemains of a signal. There used to be a crossbuck on there, but it was removed between 2012-2015.

Something similar happened with part of the old SAL main in Montgomery, AL, though that was for an excursion railroad that has yet to happen, it seems.
