Re: Tracks out of service
I visited these signals and both teardrop bells were gone And the worker there said the bells were stolen by someone and that they are removing these soon.

Re: Tracks out of service
Looks like those cantilevers were both struck at some point before the line went dead, based on the custom electrical job both have.brett nc railfanner wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2020 7:07 pmhttps://www.google.com/maps/@39.9203709 ... 384!8i8192

Some news out of Sarasota. The SGLR has removed equipment and ripped up their trackage through Sarasota starting from Fruitville Road and points south.

Re: Tracks out of service
Well that's a shame, was some nice equipment there. Though I suppose it hadn't seen a train in years at this point...

Re: Tracks out of service
That's very sad, seeing a railroad be ripped apart only to be replaced by a damn trail.
Do you think any of the equipment could be salvaged?

Re: Tracks out of service
Some of the stuff did appear to be newer, and I've heard that the SGLR tends to be rather "thrifty" at times, so I'd imagine that they would keep the equipment and re-use what's still in good shape.MapsSurfer wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 11:05 pmThat's very sad, seeing a railroad be ripped apart only to be replaced by a damn trail.
