File this one under 'weird' in Bismarck, North Dakota...

You think your car gets bad mileage? SP 4449 consumes 10 gallons of bunker oil and 100 gallons of water every mile.

If you follow that first track to the east, the next crossing only has crossbucks, so it must be a spur that very rarely gets used. I assume at the crossing you posted both gates activate for any track and the middle cantilever activates for trains on the back 3 tracks.

Either that, or that was their way to handle the lack of options for placing the signals given the building's location to the roadway and tracks.
Damn those are some impressively long gates too! I've never seen a gate in person with the shock absorber on the end.
Well, :Censored:

Another weird one in Maine...apparently they felt it necessary to warn the trees of trains...

And one outside Albany, New York. Initially I thought this was a 'STOP ON RED SIGNAL' sign but no...turns out to be something else.

Or the telephone pole...

Can't you just see it? The installers get the signals put in and they realize someone sent an extra set of lights... so they just slap on the signal anyway!

Can you try to repost the link? When you first open it, it shows a crossing, but then it changes to the middle of an intersection.

Google Street View was glitching Yesterday. The link works fine for me Tonight. Instead of "STOP ON RED SIGNAL", it says "HIGH SPEED TRAINS" where a SORS sign would be on a gated signal in Michigan.

Yeah, it works now. I did a search a while back, because this is the area I live in, and I found several crossings with those signs.
