So, every once in awhile you find crossings in action on Google Street View, with or without trains crossing the road. I've also happened upon a few passive crossings with trains in them.

Post them here.

Court St., Janesville, WI

Looks like they caught 2 different trains at different times/on different days!

Jackson St., Janesville, WI

You can see the signal on in the first link, and the end of the train in the second.

How about a closed crossing. It was closed for repairs.

Nice find of the street running train. Too bad they didn't turn and follow it down Oak Avenue on that particular pass.

Here's one: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... 7.28515625

This is Lakme Ave. in Carson, CA, just one crossing NorthWest of the Wilmington crossing on the site.

Anyways, the 8" signals are on. One gate is up, and one is down. I guess BNSF was out here replacing a damaged gate and/or light.

Good find. ...I hope the other (closest) gate is in the process of going down, and not set to be in the up position hanging out there like that. Thats pretty poor if so.

And I hope he is in the truck getting out a hammer to smash up those ugly ass gate lights and replace them with 4" ones...

That's one of them moveable pictures Elton. If you go forwards and backwards, the gate stays in the same position, so that looks to be where it stops.

I do agree with your opinion on the gate lights though!

How often do you see a steam locomotive on Street View!
Scene is Caruthers St. Grade crossing in Portland, OR.
