(IMO, the question to ask is whether this part of the line was supposed to be resurrected, but then it fell through suddenly)

Yea, looks like CSX was restoring service to the line based on the 2013 view. Also, check-out what NS had back in 2013!

Looks like when they upgraded this crossing, they kept the WRRS pedestral gate and a WRRS signal on the left, the only strange thing was that a Safetran mechanical bell was added, instead of a Safetran type 3.

Since the image was taken in 2015, most of the signals have now been removed, but they still operate.

AFAIK, that overpass didn't exist until a good couple of years ago, It could've been this crossing, though i am not certain.
