This crossing is unprotected!
https://www.google.com/maps/@37.9994659 ... 6656?hl=en
This crossing has WABCO AL-70 gate mechanisms!
https://www.google.com/maps/@37.9840344 ... 6656?hl=en
Active in 2011, the lights either seem to be not working or are dim.
https://www.google.com/maps/@37.984239, ... 6656?hl=en
Looks like workers were replacing a gate here.

Damaged pantographs.
https://www.google.com/maps/@37.9677232 ... 6656?hl=en
Quite a cool modern looking station in a run down area.
https://www.google.com/maps/@37.9559589 ... 6656?hl=en
More WABCO AL-70's, although one signal is missing a gate and this crossing could even be out of service.
https://www.google.com/maps/@37.9566495 ... 6656?hl=en
Not sure why, but these backing of the lights may've came from traffic lights.
https://www.google.com/maps/@37.9539302 ... 6656?hl=en
And it does look like this line is definitely out of service.

Look's like somebody really expressed their creativity on a crossing.

The infamous Siokou Street level crossing.

Quite a strange looking crossing. Sadly, this line is now a trail.

All the track that was pulled up here.

Damaged, and odd looking traffic signal.

Inside a relay cabinet.

This crossing isn't in much of a good condition. I'm guessing i'm on another abandoned line.

Re: Google Maps Scavenger Hunt
Interesting how in Owensboro, Kentucky. This street running crossing has a third signal for the road with the tracks. Not a common sign, then again neither are street running lines.

------------------------
Classic signal with a split crossbuck!
https://www.google.com/maps/@37.7653715 ... 6656?hl=en
The signal on the other side of the crossing seems like a waste as the road is one-way.

I guess it isn't too bad though, if someone for whatever reason decides to go the wrong way, they at least know that there is a train approaching the crossing. It it also probably useful to emergency services, there is even a fire department station near the crossing too so that probably means that it isn't uncommon for fire trucks to cross over that crossing.

Could have also been a two-way road at one point as wellToledoRailfan wrote:The signal on the other side of the crossing seems like a waste as the road is one-way.
