I've actually come across that crossing before while browsing through streetview. They probably did it because the crossing is a MCB crossing.

I'd like to see it.

To get to Bend and Klamath Falls via the north the BNSF has to cross the Columbia River using a lift bridge. I never paid much thought to this bridge as I thought it didn't really have anything special about it. HOWEVER, While chasing the 4449 from Bend back north We (group I was in) found a way to get a good shot of the train going over the bridge. While on the access road we found we came into view of what appeared to be a old swing bridge in the same span!
Warning: Large Image
Sure enough the bridge on the right appears to be a old swingbridge BUILT IN to the lift bridge. I have no clue on why this swing bridge was here. It's been OOS for some time as the old telegraph wires were strung to the side of the bridge without any medium to detach if opened...

Its gone now.
Wow!
I think that is the first time I've seen an active crossing on Google Streetview that no longer exists.
