Google maps managed to catch the Truman Rd #1 railroad crossing in action over on the Coffeyville Sub in Kansas City, MO
https://www.google.com/maps/@39.093641, ... 312!8i6656
First time it caught the crossing in action was back in July of 2012 from when the UP signals still had their original wch mechanical bells, and when the crossing had what appeared to have been Reco 4 inch gate lights.
https://www.google.com/maps/@39.0936636 ... 312!8i6656
And again in October of 2014, but by that point UP already have replaced the mechanical bells with the current GS type 2s. Ik google maps calls this crossing "Crystal Ave" but the relay case calls this crossing Truman Rd as the main part of Truman Rd used to cross the tracks, and the Pittsburg Sub crossing at grade level before the bridge above the crossing was built.

Active crossing just outside of Platte City, MO
https://www.google.com/maps/@39.3028572 ... 384!8i8192

Another active crossing outside of Platte City, this time on the MO Route 45 spur.
https://www.google.com/maps/@39.3223643 ... 312!8i6656
Google Maps also caught BNSF executive sd70mac 9530 trailing on a coal train as well.

Active crossing in Weston, MO
https://www.google.com/maps/@39.4648173 ... 384!8i8192
These signals were installed sometime around 2018 replacing private crossing signs.

This crossing in Rushville, MO used to have a pair of bell less gateless signals
https://www.google.com/maps/@39.5967805 ... 312!8i6656
Oddly enough, BNSF replaced the old signals with newer gateless signals sometime in 2018.
https://www.google.com/maps/@39.596758, ... 312!8i6656
Proud owner of a safetran mechanical bell and Griswold mechanical bell along with a pair of safetran 12x20 lights and a 8 inch light. Been a fan of trains since I was little. Main place I railfan on, The Sedalia Sub.

Gate lights don't look like RECOs, those would sit directly on top of the gate arm and not be mounted from the back. Believe WABCO/US&S would've sold those one based on personal observations, but I can't say entirely for sure.

Toppled GS Type 1 in Camilla, GA:
https://www.google.com/maps/@31.2325781 ... 384!8i8192

Interestingly enough, back in 2017 apparently (at least), all four bells here (including both US&S? mechanical bells on the gate masts) were operational:

How bizarre! I wonder what the point of having four bells on a crossing like this is? It's as if they forgot to de-commission the M-Bells when the E-Bells went up (or vice versa). Looks like it's been that way since at least late 2007!

Also, compare these lights in 2008 to 2018:
2008: https://www.google.com/maps/@31.2326604 ... 328!8i1664
2018: https://www.google.com/maps/@31.2326658 ... 384!8i8192

I wonder what happened there?

Probably the latter, as the US&S bells would've been installed by the SBD back in the 80s, while the GS Type 1s were most likely installed by the GFRR back in the late-90s (assuming they were the ones who owned this line at the time).

My guess is that a truck or something hit the left-hand light while making a right-hand turn at that intersection and broke it off, so the GFRR remounted it farther back.

Some work being done on a Japanese crossing on a now-closed line in Hiroshima:
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.807776, ... 312!8i6656

Active crossing further down the same line. Based on the date, this was one of the last times this crossing activated (as the line was closed at the end of March back in 2018):
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.9681965 ... 840!8i1920

Active crossing on a different, still used, mainline:
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.680264, ... 384!8i8192

Another active crossing:

LEDs caught mid-flash in Barnhart, MO

Proud owner of a Safetran 3rd Gen M-Bell, a GS Type 2 bell, a dead GS type 1 bell, a WRRS M-bell, and a US&S H-2 searchlight signal.
Why does everyone copy my signature?

OG signal collection signature, I think. :LOL2:
