Maybe that's why they post stop signs at the crossings with gates and lights... Because if they stop working for whatever reason, more than likely they won't get fixed. Just like when I was in Texas and noted that instead of fixing broken guard rails along the interstate, TXDOT chose to post signs stating the guard rails were busted instead.
Well, :Censored:

And you can see in that video there is a stop (ALTO) sign on the short crossbuck. Not one vehicle stops for it....

I would hate to have to drive a school bus down there. :Cry1:

Somehow this comes to mind https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OszF__i_Fo0
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Ben Franklin
People who need a foot up their Ass affect the lives of many. There is still no cure for someone who needs a foot up their Ass, except a foot up their Ass
I speak my mind, if you don't like that oh well. I'll have you fill out a hurt feelings report and submit that to my office.

Yeah, I know. Those giant crossbucks remind me of America's Got Talent for some reason.
