Think it may have been posted before (looks familiar) but found an active shot of a crossing in Western Australia with 12 inch lights mounted strangely on cantilevers https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-32.022 ... 312!8i6656

They appear to be Safetran lights https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-32.022 ... 312!8i6656

Most of the crossings around Perth seem to have wishbone gates, same with Melbourne.

Found this on the ARTC website, seems there are some level crossing upgrades being done between Cootamundra and Junee, lots of vintage equipment in that area. The crossing at Tanyinna is mentioned but it probably won't be the only one, as it already has new signals.

A-frame gates are common in Australia...

Found an interesting item on e-bay. It looks to be a new Safetran 12 inch light fitted with Westinghouse LED's, a sticker inside is dated 09 SEP 2008 and says Westinghouse Rail Systems Australia. It seems Westinghouse were importing the Safetran light heads and fitting their own LED's, interesting considering they already made their own 12 inch light heads. I guess Westinghouse must have dealt in the full range of Safetran equipment, not just their e-bells and gate mechs. Haven't seen any of those lights used in New South Wales or Victoria so they were possibly intended for Queensland or Western Australia.

At $350 it is a tad expensive! https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Unused-12V- ... SwEDtbhiSg
