Re: South American Railroad Crossings
This crossing looks to be recently upgraded. Its old crossbucks and stop signs are still there.

The equipment looks to be.
A pair of some unknown LED 12X24 lights.
US&S Model 95 gate mechanisms.
US&S Electronic Bell.
NEG Gate Lights.

Re: South American Railroad Crossings
South American countries tend to have a variety of crossing signal and signage types, seems like they don't really have much standards for that.IanMP wrote:Out of place lights

It isn't uncommon in Mexico to see crossbucks and stop signs at gates crossings. Although having three stop signs on each side is pretty strange!
Re: South American Railroad Crossings
Interesting signal in Brazil! It is rare to see crossings with lights and bells there. Note the gate mecanisms

Re: South American Railroad Crossings
I posted these here back in November in Google Maps Scavenger Hunt but I thought I'd re-post them here in this thread.
These are Spanish signals with Canadian crossbucks in Chile!

https://www.google.com/maps/@-33.618447 ... 6656?hl=en
However they have been replaced by cheap gates and regular Chilean crossbucks.

There is also this crossing that had American/Canadian/Mexican/Australian signals with normal Chilean crossbucks but they were also replaced by cheap gates.
