Interesting signals in Cortland, New York.
I came across this image of these interesting signals in Cortland, New York. Definitely pretty unusual! They've since been replace by normal signals.

Standardization, and for good reason. With the huge networks that the present-day Class Is have to maintain, it makes sense for them to use a select set of manufacturers for the equipment on their crossings, as it allows them to have proper parts available should one break. The same goes for shortlines and regionals.TheSignalMan2000 wrote:Why, oh why do they always have to replace all the unusual looking signals with normal looking signals.
