I know this railroad crossing all too well. It's this one:

Since those pics were originally taken nearly eight years ago, the grade has been redone, small DOT number signs were placed on the signal masts, and the Safetran mechanical bells were replaced with WCH e-bells ( :Awww: ) With these malfunctions going on, it's likely there may be more changes made to the crossing signal equipment.
Next time I'm in that area, I will have to take some new pics of the crossing to show these changes. (Maybe this summer I'll also get a video of the MBTA's CapeFlyer express going through the crossing; it usually goes really fast.)

I think the crossing has been fixed now. It still has the 8" lights, but the Safetran gate arms and the mechanical bells were replaced with the WCH equivalents (Type-2 e-bells that ring quite slowly.) I've known this crossing for a very long time, and compared to the photos I submitted to this site eight years ago, there's quite a difference now. Heck, with the pics I recently took, even the train passing through adds to the difference. In 2009, the train I photographed going through the crossing for this page had one of the really old MBTA GP40MC locomotives from the 70s...

And with the new pics, the train has one of the much newer MBTA HSP46 locomotives, only a few years old!

It seems to add more to how much the crossing has changed...
