Signal at Bob Wallace Avenue Knocked-down
One of the old WRRS cantilevers at Bob Wallace Avenue here in Huntsville was recently knocked down by a car, though fortunately it wasn't the one with the bell. However, based on the damage to the signal, I doubt the HMCR will repair it and re-install it, but will likely replace the whole thing. Here's a video I took earlier today showing the knocked-down signal:

But anyways, the signal will be replaced with a new one, according to the railroad.

I might be able to. They're currently tied-up in the insurance dealings (as they know who hit the signal and they're currently getting all the insurance-stuff worked out), but I might be able to get them once that's done with permission from the railroad.Swedish Crossings wrote:Were you able to get some lights?freebrickproductions wrote:ZachL wrote:Well, now they have a reason to not clean out the lenses in one of them anymore.

Re: Signal at Bob Wallace Avenue Knocked-down
Would love to get 4 8 inch lights of my own in the future as i am going to monitize my channel to get money to do longer and larger railfaning trips, one thing is also to get some US signal equipment with that money, on my list is 4 8 inch lights, a crossbuck, some bells and relays to operate the signal (also a base, i can get the pole myself) brackets ofcoarse aswellfreebrickproductions wrote:I might be able to. Well, time to wait a year for a new signal then.

This might go faster due to that there is no construction at Bob Wallace avenue like there is at Lily Flagg Road.NathanFromEngland wrote:Well, time to wait a year for a new signal then.
They will put up the signal at Lily Flagg Road when the construction is finished from what i have heard from Freebrickproductions

Re: Signal at Bob Wallace Avenue Knocked-down
The foundation for the new signal has been poured and the new signal is awaiting installation:
Also, the HMCR will be keeping the WRRS 8 inch lights from the knocked-down signal to use them as replacements or for parts for the other remaining 8 inch lights along the line.

Re: Signal at Bob Wallace Avenue Knocked-down
Well, the new signal is now standing. Heard on YouTube that it was installed yesterday, so I went by the crossing after work that evening and sure enough it was! The lights on it are WCH 12x24 inch lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs, interestingly enough. Will get pictures soon.
They/Them for me, please.
