The wigwag is apparently still there, but not for long. I have gotten reports that there are new signal foundations in place, as well as a possible new relay case. I am making this post about a week after hearing this so it is possible that the wigwag is gone.
THEY WOULDNT DARE
Apparently they would, considering the fact that they've apparently put in new foundations and a new relay case there.
Yeah, but it is definitely sad that they are gonna replace a wigwag, much less the last one in the state.
It's mostly getting replaced due to FRA requirements.

GE B40-8W's are the best. Well, uh, maybe with some exceptions...?

Another update: The wig-wag is apparently still there right now, though it is not confirmed. I read online that the wig-wag replacement is not happening until spring 2021, most likely because of the Colorado weather. It makes sense because there are a couple other crossings near me that are planned to be upgraded, but not until spring. Someone needs to get out there and verify if it's still there or not, as I have not been able to find much info online.

The wigwag is verified still there! I have someone out there to take photos for the site, so I can update the site again. It is confirmed that there is a new relay case at the crossing. It is likely the wigwag will be gone by the end of February.

I have been told that the wigwag was replaced a day or two ago. The wigwag is now headed for its new home at the Colorado Railroad Museum. There are now gated signals at the crossing.

Rest in Peace

Delhi Colorado Wig-Wag

1920s-2021

EDIT: This is not true info.

Well, I was wrong about it being gone! The wigwag is still there, but only for another week or so. Shunt boxes have been added. The only thing left now pretty much is to install the signals and activate them.

Well, we can certainly give it a big fat F now...

Surprised they're doing gateless signals. I guess that's an okay replacement. Still, it's sad to see the wigwag go.
