Locations of Currently Known General Signals Type 1 E-Bells

We know how popular the type 2 is from GS but Type 1's are becoming hard to find. List here where you know Type 1's are hiding.

I'll start with Pompano Rd in Pensacola. When I got the pictures, I was undetermined which type this GS was. Today I heard it in action due to a Maintainer working in the relay case and to my surprise it was a Type 1. I'll have to return to the crossing to get a video of it the next time I get a AGR.

As of the last time I heard the crossing in action in April 2008, the N. Broadway Street crossing in Green Bay, WI still had a Type 1. It was the only one I found in the city proper.

Cormier Road in the Green Bay suburb of Ashwaubenon had one when I heard it in February 2008. It is not on the site, but here is a street view:

I shot a video of a train near (although not at) the crossing and you can faintly hear the Type 1.

Velp Avenue in Howard (another Green Bay suburb), also not on the site, had one as of April 2008. It's not on Street View either. I do have a couple pictures on my rrpicturearchives.net contributor site:

The electronic bell at Pearl Street in Janesville, WI is also a GS Type 1:

As of the last time I heard it, Whitney Way in Madison had a GS Type 1 e-bell on top of each of the B&B barrier gate mechanisms, which probably remained unchanged despite the recent modifications to the crossing.

Hayden Street in Prairie du Chien is the only crossing in town with a GS Type 1 bell, as well as the only one with 8" incandescent lights.

Those are the only ones I can think of right now at crossings I've heard relatively recently. You're right, they are getting scarce. BNSF, CN, CP and WSOR are all using Type 2s at new installations in Wisconsin, and UP uses WCH.

CSX is also really using type 2's, but they also use Safetran type 3's.
