Location of the rectangular e-bells

Post by CIC755 » Sun Mar 15, 2009 12:07 am

This is based off a topic from the old forum, but which crossings have this e-bell that looks like a GS e-bell but is rectangular instead of cylindrical. Seems there were a few in Louisiana, but I know for sure there is one out in the middle of nowhere in Nebraska 20 miles east of Thedford where Spur 86B crossing the BNSF main that parallels NE 2.

If you take the first link and look on the other side of the signal w/the rectangular bell, there are mismatched light heads!!

The crossing just to the west of that one also has one of those too.

Managed to get out to the crossing with a rectangular E-bell near Halsey, Nebraska, and catch it in action - the sound was nearly identical to that of a GS-1 e-bell. I have a low quality (very shaky) video I might get posted someday.
