One of the bells here just kinda ups and dies not long after activating:
They/Them for me, please.

It is even worse now, i am a member of the preserved railway it is located on, when i get more active there i will look at fixing it if i can, otherwise if it is beyond repair i will place a new mechanism inside it!

Have a clip of it from this summer, will upload it!

This crossing has a pair of bad alarms, this crossing has now been removed.

Back in March 2014 they didn't sound that bad...

EDIT: Prior to closure they sounded much worse...

One of the bells at Stephens Road in Canterbury has started sounding rather rough and flat!

Here is a pair of some weak sounding WABCO teardrops on a crossing in Italy.

The WABCO mechanical bell on the signal closest to the camera sounds rough, as for the teardrop on the further signal, it sounds rather flat.

This Safetran mechanical bell, IMO sounds a bit flat.

One of the bells at the second crossing in this video sounds pretty rough (you can hear it the best starting at about 5:15 in the video). The first crossing also features an alarm that's having issues.
The bell completely doesn't work now, except for the motor letting out a very silent vibration during lowering sequence. It does let out a faint little ring though around 1:45 if you do listen carefully.

Sounds like this Safetran m-bell clicks a couple of times and dies:
They/Them for me, please.
