What in the world?
Anyone ever seen these gate mechs and/or electronic(?) bell before? Found this strange crossing on the Nashville & Eastern while scouting out locations to try and catch trains at:
https://www.google.com/maps/@36.112819, ... 312!8i6656
The counterweight arms and shape of the gate mechs almost remind me of signals in the Czech Republic.

They/Them for me, please.

Nope, I suggest you go and check out that crossing to see who made them.freebrickproductions wrote:Anyone ever seen these gate mechs and/or electronic(?) bell before? Found this strange crossing on the Nashville & Eastern while scouting out locations to try and catch trains at:

Prior to the installation, this was a crossbuck crossing.NathanFromEngland wrote:Its also worth pointing out that there is an dormant crossbuck here.freebrickproductions wrote:That's my plan. Regarding the bell, I want to say RSI but I'm not sure as I can't find it anywhere on the internet.
Side note: am I the only one that thinks it looks like a steam whistle?
EDIT: The railroad seen here is the Nashville and Eastern Railroad and this is the Hickory Branch.
Railfanning since December 28, 2009!

RSI e-bells looked noticeably different. It might've been an early version, but I'm not sure. But yea, it does look like a steam whistle.LARDLOGO wrote: Regarding the bell, I want to say RSI but I'm not sure as I can't find it anywhere on the internet.

I mentioned that in my post, though I didn't know the name of this part of the line was the Hickory Branch:LARDLOGO wrote: EDIT: The railroad seen here is the Nashville and Eastern Railroad and this is the Hickory Branch.

I suggest you go to that crossing some time! Looks like an interesting setup! Then we can see what equipment it actually has!

Just make sure you do your homework on researching how many trains run through the crossing so hopefully you can cash a train at the crossing.freebrickproductions wrote:Plan is for this Friday.Swedish Crossings wrote:freebrickproductions wrote:Anyone ever seen these gate mechs and/or electronic(?) bell before?
