My first Bell; a US&S E-Bell!

Post by PlyingKibbles89 »

I got the bell from the E Street Railroad Crossing in Encinitas, CA. When I was at the crossing, taking pictures, a worker was there, replacing the dead US&S E bell. I asked if I could have the non-working bell and he said yes. Later, he tested the new bell, a Safetran type 3. The Safetran type 3 didn't even work. He then told me that my bell might not be dead and might work. I haven't tested the bell yet as I don't have the correct power supply. If anyone who has a bell, link me to the power supply they use?

They're technically still around, AFAIK. They were acquired by Ansaldo STS years ago, who've since been acquired by Hitachi Rail, and turned into Hitachi Rail STS.
They/Them for me, please.

I don't think these bells are still around as I couldn't find any info about this bell on hitachi rail's site.
Proud owner of 7 mechanical bells along with a pair of safetran 12x20 lights and a 8 inch light. Been a fan of trains since I was little. Main place I railfan on, The Sedalia Sub.
