I wonder why they didn't mount the lights the normal way on that first pic? Cool setup otherwise...

If you move closer to the crossing (you have to pick up the little Google guy and move him manually)... it looks like there is a telephone pole on the side closest to the traffic signals. That would be my guess as to the odd way the lights are mounted.

I know of two in Central Illinois. One in Mapleton IL (On the Peoria & Western railroad) and one in Chenoa IL (on the Toledo Peoria & Western). There used to be a bunch down south near Champaign IL on the NS but the NS removed most of them and installed E-bells.

Tolono used to have one I think...
