I know the one on the Joplin wigwag is known about hence the "of coarse" and the "unsurprisingly".freebrickproductions wrote:Both of the Joplin ones were already known about.ToledoRailfan wrote:Here is one in Joplin, Missouri, I wouldn't be too surprised if this one has been posted here before sense it is a neighboring crossing of the last known US&S Wigwag in the wild in the United States which of coarse has a US&S teardrop bell unsurprisingly. Drifting a bit off topic it appears that the Joplin Wigwag has a new albeit quite faded "STOP WHEN SWINGING" sign because in in 2011 the signal had an old inverted SWS sign which was replaced by this SWS sign.

And a cateye crossbuck with an inverted cateye "2 TRACKS" sign! Good thing that this crossing is a double crossing as that is probably the only reason that signal is still there! Nice find! Kind of odd that they replaced the intermediate signal for the abandoned line as the front lights are probably never going to operate. In fact I don't understand why they don't just convert that crossing(s) into a single crossing and add a second gate for the active crossing, but I guess the reason they don't is the same reason that a lot of abandon crossings still have their equipment and signage still maintained.brett nc railfanner wrote:https://www.google.com/maps/@32.4515636 ... 56!6m1!1e1

Interesting that the back lights on this signal are pointed down the side road too.ToledoRailfan wrote:And a cateye crossbuck with an inverted cateye "2 TRACKS" sign! #2. There's a bell-only Teardrop bell crossing in Iowa, and I think Illinois as well.
