I speak my mind, if you don't like that oh well. I'll have you fill out a hurt feelings report and submit that to my office.

I wonder why they didn't mount the lights the normal way on that first pic? Cool setup otherwise...

If you move closer to the crossing (you have to pick up the little Google guy and move him manually)... it looks like there is a telephone pole on the side closest to the traffic signals. That would be my guess as to the odd way the lights are mounted.

I know of two in Central Illinois. One in Mapleton IL (On the Peoria & Western railroad) and one in Chenoa IL (on the Toledo Peoria & Western). There used to be a bunch down south near Champaign IL on the NS but the NS removed most of them and installed E-bells.

This is the only one I know of left in this area.

You think your car gets bad mileage? SP 4449 consumes 10 gallons of bunker oil and 100 gallons of water every mile.

Tolono used to have one I think... http://rxrsignals.net/phil/tolonoil.htm. If you look at the first picture, I think its a tear-drop. Sidney IL used to have a few but are gone.. http://rxrsignals.net/phil/sydney.htm . Homer IL used to have some to but are now gone http://rxrsignals.net/phil/homer.html. All these towns are south- south east of Champ-Urbana IL. Tolono still has a Safetran hybrid bell.
