Drifting a bit off topic it appears that the Joplin Wigwag has a new albeit quite faded "STOP WHEN SWINGING" sign because in in 2011 the signal had an old inverted SWS sign which was replaced by this SWS sign.
Both of the Joplin ones were already known about.
I know the one on the Joplin wigwag is known about hence the "of coarse" and the "unsurprisingly".

And a cateye crossbuck with an inverted cateye "2 TRACKS" sign! Good thing that this crossing is a double crossing as that is probably the only reason that signal is still there! Nice find! Kind of odd that they replaced the intermediate signal for the abandoned line as the front lights are probably never going to operate. In fact I don't understand why they don't just convert that crossing(s) into a single crossing and add a second gate for the active crossing, but I guess the reason they don't is the same reason that a lot of abandon crossings still have their equipment and signage still maintained.

Interesting that the back lights on this signal are pointed down the side road too.

Yep! I think that is the only bell only crossings I've come across with a teardrop bell!

#1. It's been posted before.
#2. There's a bell-only Teardrop bell crossing in Iowa, and I think Illinois as well.
