I haven't been active in so long that most of the topics are glowing orange for "unread notifactions" :LOL3:
You want some odd bell mounts?
WRRS(?) bell on the side of the crossing

(yes these have been posted before in other topics, but thought I would re-share them here)
Most of these bells have been removed now

Those aren't WRRS Bells, they are made by a company called LS Branch Co. (Pre-RRS)

A bit hard to see, but there are US&S Teardrop bells on the right sides of the signals.

That's on the site, actually!

Sadly, the line's been OOS for a long, long time, and I want to say it was recently abandoned and torn out. There were at least two other crossings along that line with the same set-up, IIRC.
They/Them for me, please.

I was curious about the current state of the line, and whether it was mothballed or running at any point... because if it's dead, it makes no sense that this crossing received new equipment.
Well, :Censored:

I think you quoted the wrong post there....
But yeah, said line is still out of service from Augusta to Brunswick and a target of rails to trails now unfortunately. :aaargh:
As for river road, the signals have been removed, as said in another topic in “crossing signal news”

Not honestly surprised there, was a lot of old equipment on that line

This may have been posted before, but this video shows that the signals were still in an operational state (and receiving maintenance) as recently as 2018:

Bells can be installed on masts and cantilevers but NS did this instead. https://goo.gl/maps/HexQip3wnw8G9ZtZA

This is a very odd crossing, there are 2 mechanical bells here mounted on extensions that are mounted on some poles.
The bell on the right is a WCH 2nd Gen Mechanical Bell, but the bell on the left is a rare Transport Productions Mechanical Bell.

Bigmindcreator has got this in action.
